Preservation and Education

The Relief is a museum ship, and National Historic Landmark. It is cared for by students in The Anchor Program, which uses It as a floating classroom. 

The Anchor Program is a non-profit organization that enables youth, young adults and others to set sail toward a brighter tomorrow. Through a process of training and certification, program graduates can gain a substantial and rewarding career in the Maritime Industry where they can travel the world and gain new life experiences.
